Has anyone visited the above store? Has anyone gone on a local trip with Geneva Kayak Center's Rogers Park Store? Does anyone want to encourage kayaking to and from restaurants with docks off the Chicago River? Does anyone pay attention to these opportunities, among others? Just curious.

It is a shame GKC hasn't been able to open yet. I am well acquainted with GKC. It is a quality operation. Good equipment for sale. High quality instruction. A real dedication to safety and quality paddling technique.
GKC will be a real asset to Rogers Park and the entire City of Chicago.
Heard that Geneva Kayak will finally open it's doors at the end of February 2009. I've seen that work is getting done in the space.
